How to avoid scams while trying to make money online

One of the tricks of making money online is often knowing which scams to avoid. A while back I wrote a post on Making Money Online by Surfing the Net (see Make Money Surfing the Internet) discussing several legitemate sites through which you can make money surfing the net, like Clixsense, Cash-Harvest and Neobux.

Earlier this week I came across a site called Dollar GPT and they had a GREAT proposition: earn passive income by reviewing sites/ads, reading e-mails etc (the usual stuff) but getting up to $10 per click (!!) and 10% of your referral’s earnings. Read the rest of this entry »

Top 7 Alternatives to Google Adsense

Google’s Adsense is by far the leader in monetising website through advertising (and I am using it myself as well as you can see in my banner space). However, what do you do when you get banned by Google for whatever reason (and this happens quite often) or if you cannot use Google Adsense on your site given their often strict conditions. In this post I want to discuss the top 7 alternatives to Google’s Adsense to give you an opportunity to still make money with your site, instead or in addition to Google Adsense.

Most of the Google Adsense alternatives are not great and therefore I have tried to compile a list with some of the nicer and better-paying alternatives. Note that some of the advertising networks listed in my top 10 can also be used while using Google Adsense at the same time, hence increasing your money-making opportunity. Ok, so here we go, my top 7 alternatives to Google Adsense: Read the rest of this entry »

IP addresses running out – Last chance to start a site !

Yesterday, I came across some interesting “little” fact. It seems that you only have a few days to grab your own internet site or blog and have a chance to make money online !! Why is that you might ask ? It seems that already NEXT WEEK the available IP addresses on the internet are running out !! Just have a look at the widget below that shows how many IP addresses are still available which at the time of this posts were some 11m. At the current run-rate these would run out on 2 February already. Is this really the last chance to ever get a site on the internet to realize my dream of making money online you might ask (or just having a fun time!). Read the rest of this entry »

How to track backlinks to your site and increase traffic

As you all should know by now, the more quality backlinks to your site or blog, the higher your Google Pagerank and therefore the higher the chance of getting quality traffic to your site. However, maybe you are not aware that you can actually check which sites on the internet link to your site. Checking all the links to your site is luckily quite easy and I have a few “tricks” for this which I will discuss in today’s post. Read the rest of this entry »

Make Money with Twitter RevTwt

Twitter is another way of making some attractive (and easy) money online and I have discussed several ways of doing this in the past (e.g. my recent post on Sponsored Tweets). You might be on the Twitter list of some of the well-known celebrities and sometimes see some these celebrities “endorse” certain products through sponsored tweets (and getting paid big money for this!). Well you know what ? You can also do this through your twitter account. As said, in a previous post I discussed the Sponsored Tweets Network which gives you money to tweet messages. I recently came across another interesting Twitter Advertising network called “RevTwt” and I decided to check it out.Bonding with your readers is important and Twitter is one of the ways of doing this (in addition to RSS and e-mail lists etc). Besides building a relationship it also helps to keep your readers up to date with the latest on your site and trigger them to come back to your site in the future. Therefore, it’s key to build your Twitter, RSS and e-mail lists. Of course, if you build these site to build longer-term relationships with your audience, why not make money at the same time ! InfoBarrel Review: Generating Traffic and Revenue Sharing

I recently came across a revenue sharing site called InfoBarrel. In the past I have often used these sites (like e.g. SheToldMe) to generate some extra traffic to my site while at the same time earning some money from ads like Google Adsense or Chitika. The concept is simply, publish an article on InfoBarrel, ranging from product reviews, “how to” articles, informational articles, or any other type of interesting content. On InfoBarrel the key to succes is posting interesting articles to maximize readership and, as a result, Adsense or Chitika income. One of the key attractions of InfoBarrel is its revenue-sharing compensation arrangement which is very high compared to most other sites with a lucrative 75% ad impression revenue share, i.e. simply put, 75% of all ad income is for you ! Use SocialOomph Twitter Autoresponder

In recent years, Social Media, like Twitter and Facebook, have become increasingly important to drive significant traffic to your site, while also adding an opportunity to make some extra money (see my previous post on Making Money with Twitter). I assume most of you have already set-up a Twitter account and are promoting this on your website or blog so that your readers will have the possibility to easily follow you, giving you the opportunity to stay in touch while also giving you a chance to promote some of your products and new ideas/posts. One of the problems I encountered when some of my Twitter lists became sizable was the ability to properly manage my list of followers, i.e. which ones are new followers, which of my followers am I following as well etc. Therefore, I had a look around the internet and came across the SocialOomph Tool (free-of-charge!). Kontera vs Infolinks vs Clicksor – An Honest Review

In recent years I have used in-text advertising a lot to generate extra income in addition to my “default” Google Adsense money-maker. In my view these in-text advertising systems are a great, and must have, addition if you are serious about making money online. The best in-text systems are Kontera and Infolinks while another well-known system is Clicksor. Read the rest of this entry »

Using DoFollow Blog Comments to boost your Traffic

The best and probably most important way to get people to your site is through search engines like Google (and Yahoo, Bing etc). Therefore, it is key to get ranked as high as possible with the goal being  to rank on top of the first page whenever somebody searches for the subject your site is all about.

As you will know by now, the key to achieving a high rank is to arrange backlinks as Google views these links as votes of confidence and the more “votes” a site has, the higher Google feels it should rank it. One of the easy ways to arrange backlinks is to leave comments on other blogs with the best being “DoFollow” blogs which help your ranking most. Finding these “DoFollow” blogs can sometimes be a challenge but I have a few ways that will make your life much easier.

Make Money Surfing the Internet

Getting paid to surf the internet is often a dream of most internet users as it’s basically feels like receiving free money for time you spend on the internet anyways. In recent years a lot of different websites have come with an interesting “getting paid to surf” program but at the same time a lot of these sites have disappeared again as well (like e.g. AGLOCO).

Still, some of these sites continue to try to make this business model work which gives us a chance to earn some easy (and free!) cash. Currently some of the best regarded sites include Neobux, Clixsense and Cash-harvest. Read the rest of this entry »
